Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time, the 15th book in Dav Pilkey's Dog Man series, came out on 3rd November 2026 from Scholastic. If your child has been asking whether there is a new Dog Man book, this is it, and it arrives in the year the series turns ten. The first Dog Man book appeared in 2016, and Scholastic now counts more than 70 million Dog Man books in print worldwide in 50 languages.

## What Happens in Dog Man: A Sprinkle in Time

Grandpa, the series' anti-hero, alters the fabric of time and space in the new book. The story turns on whether his villainy is the soil that lets Dog Man and his friends grow, and whether every character can step up and change for the better. Scholastic describes the series as one that deals with empathy, kindness and self-acceptance alongside harder subjects such as loss and forgiveness, and A Sprinkle in Time keeps that mix of slapstick and feeling.

Like every book in the series, it is a full-colour graphic novel, told in comic panels with short bursts of text, which makes it an easy step for [a child moving on from picture books](https://richbooksmagazine.com/article/the-best-upcoming-children-s-books-to-read-this-autumn).

## Dog Man Tenth Anniversary Tour and the Next Dog Man Book

For the tenth anniversary, Dav Pilkey is on a ten-city tour of the US, Canada and the UK through November and December, with a stop in London. At the events, children can dress as the characters, meet Dog Man and Captain Underpants and draw on a drawing wall. The next title, Dog Man Dynamite, is a 48-page paperback for ages seven and up that comes with 3D glasses, due on 3rd August 2027.
