**Author, Clara Stories**

Sharon Philbrick is an economist, author and Director at LifeLine in the Cayman Islands, where she leads community CPR and AED training programmes. Originally from Canada, she holds a degree from Carleton University in Ottawa. Her children's series Clara Stories introduces six-to-nine-year-olds to financial literacy, technology, fairness and critical thinking through narrative rather than instruction. Each of the five books is set in a coastal world illustrated in watercolour by Adesanwo Damilare and comes with a free companion guide for parents and educators. She previously wrote Bitcoin for Xers, a guide to cryptocurrency aimed at demystifying digital assets for a general audience.
